Among the ten finalists

In May 2024, Lucie Töpfer, co-founder and managing director of pyropower GmbH, was selected for the top 10 of the Digital Female Leader Award. She competed in the Future of Energy category. The award is presented by Global Digital Women and gives visibility to women who are changing industries with technology and new business models.

Energy technology in a talk

The talk addressed how electricity, heat and biochar can be produced locally from residual wood. To do this, the Pyro-ClinX combines pyrolysis and an externally fired micro gas turbine. For a category about the future of energy, this is a tangible example: hardware from Lusatia that uses existing residues and offers businesses a predictable supply.

A year of many stages

2024 was the year of the first major awards for pyropower. After the final of the Digital Female Leader Award came the Gründungspreis Brandenburg in July, the KfW Award Gründen in November and second prize at Lausitz Goes International.
