Honoured as a woman founder

On 4 July 2024, the Gründungspreis Brandenburg (Brandenburg start-up award) was presented in its new format for the first time. In the category for women founders (Existenzgründerinnen), the award went to Lucie Töpfer, who founded pyropower together with Sebastian Kießling. Minister President Dietmar Woidke spoke at the ceremony.

The Gründungspreis Brandenburg

With the Gründungspreis, the state of Brandenburg honours people who build a company there. In the category for women founders, the award goes to women who create jobs with their company and serve as role models for others. In 2026 Lucie Töpfer herself served on the jury, and she also passes on her experience as a mentor in the EXIST-Women programme at TH Wildau.
