Forum 2 of the Brandenburger Energietag

On 23 May 2024, pyropower took part in the Brandenburger Energietag (Brandenburg Energy Day) at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. In Forum 2, under the title purpose und portfolio, we showed how woody residues are turned into electricity, heat and biochar.

The three parts of the talk

• Efficient pyrolysis: pyrolysis as a way to generate heat, the process steps, the products and which biomass is suitable.
• Smart power generation: how the Pyro-ClinX converts the pyrolysis gas into electricity and heat via an externally fired micro gas turbine.
• Using biochar: properties of the char, applications in agriculture and the idea of a closed loop.

Developments since the talk

Since the talk, the Pyro-ClinX 150 has gone into operation and our services have grown to include engineering for pyrolysis projects. You can find current talks and webinars in our events.

The Brandenburger Energietag

The Brandenburger Energietag is a specialist conference at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg where energy suppliers, municipalities, industry and research discuss energy supply in the state. In the forums, companies present practical solutions. For us it was a good opportunity to present pyrolysis to a specialist audience that itself plans heat and electricity for networks, businesses and buildings.
