Talk in front of a full hall

On 3 June 2025, the Female Founders Summit of the Businettes network took place in Berlin, with the law firm Heuking among its partners. The centrepiece of the day were the talks: four women founders presented their companies, one of them Lucie Töpfer with pyropower. At the end, the award of the summit went to pyropower.

Hardware explained in a few minutes

Explaining a pyrolysis plant in a short talk is a challenge. Lucie Töpfer focused on what matters to businesses: one process converts residual wood into electricity, heat and biochar, plus CO₂ certificates from the permanent storage of carbon. The plant is ready for series production and is manufactured in Cottbus.

The significance of the award for us

The Female Founders Summit is aimed at women founders from all sectors. For us, the fact that a plant engineering company can convince there shows that energy technology can be explained clearly and attracts interest beyond the expert community.
