Our Pyro-ClinX pyrolysis CHP is an innovative bioenergy plant that makes effective use of biomass and waste, such as sewage sludge. The pyrolysis process thermally decomposes organic materials to generate green energy. This produces gases and liquid products such as oils or tar, which are used efficiently. The electricity generated can be used on site or fed into the grid, while the resulting heat can be used for a variety of purposes, such as heating. In addition, valuable biochar is produced, which can be used for various applications such as soil improvement and carbon sequestration. The “Görlitzer Werkstätten” pyrolysis project converts regional woody residues into biochar and uses them together with an externally fired micro gas turbine to generate green electricity and process heat. This innovative plant permanently binds CO2 from the atmosphere and creates a carbon sink while producing high-quality products. The CO2-negative and particularly sustainable energy generated not only supplies the plant complex autonomously, but also provides renewable energy for the operation of the workshops and helps to protect the environment.  

SEWAGE SLUDGE PYROLYSIS IN GOTHA

Our upcoming project in Gotha focuses on sustainable energy through green energy generation and use. Thanks to the pyrolysis system, sewage sludge is efficiently converted into biochar, while the ClinX system supplies the plant park with its own energy. This innovative approach makes it possible to convert sewage sludge into environmentally friendly energy and thus contributes to a sustainable future. Our future project in Gotha will stand out due to its particularly sustainable approach, which is based on its own green energy generation and use. A central component of this project will be the Pyro-ClinX pyrolysis system, which will convert sewage sludge into biochar. In addition, the ClinX system will ensure that the plant park is supplied with its own environmentally friendly energy. The pyrolysis system will treat the sewage sludge in an environment with limited oxygen content and high temperatures, converting organic components into pyrolysis gas, liquid products and solid coal. The pyrolysis gas produced will then be used to generate electricity by converting it into usable electrical and thermal energy in a special process. Our project in Gotha will therefore be a showcase example of innovative and sustainable energy generation and use, which will be realized through the use of state-of-the-art technologies such as pyrolysis and ClinX.

VOGTLAND FORESTRY ASSOCIATION

pyropower GmbH supported the Vogtland forestry community in a pioneering project to integrate a pyrolysis system for sustainable forest management. In the pre-project phase, the economic framework parameters were examined, whereby a rough evaluation of existing data and specific assumptions were made. A detailed profitability analysis including calculation of the amortization period was carried out and the pyrolysis technology was compared with other variants. An offer was then submitted for the creation of an energy technology concept based on a pyrolysis system. This concept included the integration of biochar and a sustainable energy supply as new or expanded business areas for the forestry community. An interdisciplinary team of engineers, process engineers, economists and electrical engineers worked on a customized concept that took into account both technical and economic factors and was optimally tailored to the company’s needs.
