At the end of October 2024, our CEO Lucie Töpfer was a speaker at the Women in Tech event organized by La French Tech Düsseldorf, HEUKING, L’Oréal and the SHE Innovates Tech Club. This event provided the perfect stage to talk about the opportunities and challenges for women in the tech industry and to set important impulses for the future. For Lucie and pyropower GmbH, it was an inspiring evening that took the topics of innovation and sustainability to a new level.
GREEN IMPACT NETWORKING – LUCIE TÖPFER ON SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION
For Lucie Töpfer, Düsseldorf always radiates a special start-up energy. “This city simply has a very special start-up vibe!” – a place where you can literally feel the entrepreneurial spirit and the urge for change. The atmosphere at the Women in Tech event reflected this spirit and showed how important diversity and inclusion are in the tech world. Here, women and men met not only to talk about challenges, but also to go into depth together and find concrete solutions.
In her keynote, Lucie spoke about the concept of Green Impact Networking and the importance of finding your “why”. At pyropower GmbH, we see it as essential that every innovation serves a deeper purpose. Our GreenTech technologies, such as the pyrolysis CHP Pyro-ClinX or ClinX HEAT, are more than just products – they are answers to the urgent need to create sustainable energy sources and reduce the carbon footprint. We develop solutions that drive forward the sustainable energy transition and are economically viable at the same time.
IMPULSES FOR THE TECH COMMUNITY AND NEW PERSPECTIVES
Some of the most exciting ideas Lucie took away from the event concerned the promotion of women in the tech world. The idea of a quota for women in funding programs, the prospect of introducing entrepreneurship as a school subject and the realization that our own background shapes our start-up mindset are just a few thought-provoking ideas that illustrate how important a diverse and supportive tech community is.
For us at pyropower GmbH and Lucie Töpfer, the Women in Tech event in Düsseldorf was a powerful confirmation that innovation and sustainability must go hand in hand.
